Nigeria: Ajegunle Police Killings – socialists and others escape arrest and criminal charges

Key impact of international solidarity campaign

The Lagos police did not press any criminal charges against Dagga Tolar and the two other DSM (CWI in Nigeria) comrades who were arrested on Wednesday when they reported to the police after being freed on bail late on April 7. At the same time the police have released nearly all the youths who were arrested in Ajegunle since the original 1 April murder of Charles Okoroafor.

A key part in these releases has been the impact of the international protests that started immediately after the arrest of the DSM comrades. The DSM thanks all those who protested rapidly after the arrests.
