Protesters made it impossible for the racist party Sverigedemokraterna (Sweden Democrats) to conduct EU election street meetings in two northern Swedish towns.

In Piteå there were 200 protesters and in Luleå 300.

The demonstrations were initiated by the Rättvisepartiet Socialisterna on 8 June and were covered by all media in the region.

Rättvisepartiet Socialisterna, the Socialist Justice Party, is the Swedish section of the cwi.
