On 30 May 2026, the Democratic Socialist Movement (CWI Nigeria) and the Marxist Workers Party (CWI South Africa) organised an online international public meeting to discuss the upsurge in xenophobic attacks in South Africa, how Marxists explain it and what socialists put forward to counteract it.
