Nigeria: Socialist activists released

All the Democratic Socialist Movement (DSM) in Nigeria members who were arrested last week in Lagos have now been released.

Two were arrested for having copies of Socialist Democracy, the paper of DSM, at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) workers’ strike in the Oshodi district.

Four other DSM members were arrested during an entirely separate Education Rights Campaign protest in the Ajegunle district.

Many thanks to all comrades of the Committee for a Workers’ International (CWI) who have responded quickly and have shown their solidarity by making phone calls and sending protest letters to the Nigerian embassies.
