Japan: Demonstration “Against war and xenophobia” in Osaka city

A demonstration “Against war and xenophobia” took place in late March in Osaka city, Japan. Supporters of the CWI in Japan took part, including CWI comrades active in the General Union, which mobilised workers for the protest. Around 250 people participated on the protest. The organisers reported a good response from the public. The protest involved immigrant workers. The march was against a rise in xenophobic sentiments in society, which right wing politicians exploit, and also against the US and Israeli attacks on Iran and Lebanon, and the increasingly militarisation of Japan.
