In January 2007, the Committee for a Workers’ International (CWI) will hold its 9th World Congress. Two of the main Congress documents that will be debated and discussed are ‘World and inter-imperialist relations’ and ‘Europe – the current stage of the class struggle’. We are publishing the initial draft of these documents, along with a resolution on the situation in the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States), the loose alliance of countries that made up the former Soviet Union.

During the CWI congress these documents will be subject to debate, discussion and amendment, and the final texts will be published following the congress. Other resolutions and documents will also be published in the light of the congress discussions.
