Tens of thousands of school and university students rage against attacks on education

Some reports of the mass day of action against the British ConDem government’s assault on education, with the imposition of £9,000 annual university tuition fees and the axing of college students’ maintenance allowances, put figures of participation at as high as 130,000! Students, from secondary school to university, walked out en masse to participate in massive local protests and other actions, including the occupation by students of a number of universities around the country, some of which have continued into today.
