At a session of the Committee on International Trade, Paul Murphy MEP questions EU Trade Commissioner Karel de Gucht on how the Commissions plan to assist the worsening situation in Pakistan after last year’s flooding, the role of speculation in food prices and its impact on the poor throughout the world and the need to re-consider the EU-Mediterranean Free Trade Agreements in light of the devastation they have caused to people’s livelihoods.
