Northern Ireland: Workers, trade unionist and community protest public sector cuts

30,000 public sector and 10,000 private sector jobs under threat

The Northern Ireland Committee of the Irish Congress (NIC-ICTU) called a protest outside Belfast City Hall on 29 September, as part of the ETUC day of action across Europe.

The Socialist Party participated in the recently established Stop the Cuts Alliance which unites workers, trade unionist and community activists to link up resistance to the cuts.
